3 Weddings and a Box

It seems like everyone is either getting married or going to a wedding lately. This first set was made for a friend who is going to London for her father's wedding. I thought I would surprise her and make a card with a matching box.

Yellow and gray are one of my favorite color combos, so I had to use this new paper from DCWV called Lemon Flower Stack. The stamp set is called Love Story (Verve) and I used a silver flower that I took the center out of and added yellow and gray roses.

This card was for a Mojo Monday sketch challenge, that really had me stumped because of those panels. I couldn't figure them out for the life of me. Thank goodness ny daughter knew what to do and it worked out perfect. Her cousin is getting married this week so it worked out perfect. I've been hoarding this dp for over a year, and finally cut into it. I even made the flower from the gold paper. The sentiment, flower, and leaves are all Verve stamps.

This last card was a request from a friend whose sister is getting married. I went soft and romantic for this one using my favorite wedding couple from Inkadinkado, a pearl flourish and lavish wedding flower I found at Michael's.

Mother's Day

Since Mother's Day has come and gone, I thought I would show the cards that I made. I used Verve's  stamp set Love Deepens and Because of You for all the cards.
First up is a card I made for my wonderful momma. I went shabby chic on this one and used the current sketch from Mojo Monday. The dp is from DCWV (Mademosille), finally fot a chance to use tose fancy pearls I have been holding on to for months.

This second one is for Mrs. Wheeler, who we call Nana. She has been such a blessing to me through the years, so I had to make her something special with her favorite color purple. I used the same dp from DCWV with lots of pearls.
This one was for my good friend who I affeciatenly call Momma Pearl. This fabulous woman has been such an inspiration to me and is always there when I need her. I used dp from K & Company and a dimentional flower that coordinated with the dp.
My sister friend Leonor got this lovely creation of blue and pink . When I think of her I always envision springtime and roses. The dp came from K & Company (Sweet Nectar).

For my God Mother's card I used the largest die from the Curved Rectangles nestabilities to make the card base and this yummy dp from DCWV(Lemon Flower). I added a rhinestone flourish and gren ribbon to complete the look.
So that's what I've been up to lately, see you next time!

Easter

Here I am again trying to get my Easter cards done in one week. Where does the time go? It seems that work just takes too much of my time, but I did get a chance to make this card that I'm gonna send to my aunt in Georgia.

The card base is the largest Curved Rectangels Nestabilities, and the dp is from Prima Marketing. I sponged the edges with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks, added some pearls and of course I had to add a big bow with a flower in the middle.

I'll be back tomorrow with a Viva la Verve card. So until then Ciao Baby!!

Two Valentine's Day Cards

Move over Thank You cards, it's time to make Valentine's Day cards now. This first card was made using week 3 of the Viva la Verve sketch. I love red and black together, they are so romantic. The dp is a new stack from DCWV (Immortal Love), I got it at Joann's and now I wish I bought the 12x12 stack and not the matstack. I used a stamp from Verve's Love Story stamp set, some lace from Michael's and of course flowers.

For my second card I went all "cotton candy pink" lol. I used the Mojo Monday sketch #174 and some dp from GCD Studios (Cloisonne). The stamp is from Verve (Heart's Desire) and the pearl flourish is from Zva Creative. I love these two and it's gonna be hard to part with them when the time comes, but at least they will warm someone's heart.
That's it for me tonight, but I will be back tomorrow night.

Viva la Verve

This is my entry for the Viva la Verve sketch week 2. I still need to do the first week. I pulled out some K & Company dp (Ancestry.Com), and Cherry Cobbler cs (SU!). The stamp is from Verve (Thankful Blossoms), and I found these pearls to match my ribbon at Michael's on clearance. I'm gonna send this to my aunt in Georgia to thank her for the wonderful Christmas gifts.

Changing my Crafting Resolution

Well my crafting resolution is not starting off as good as I planned. Making a card a day is probably gonna have to change to every other day, and if I post on my blog three times a week I'm doing good. Here are some recent cards I made.
This first one is for the Mojo Monday Sketch # 172, that I did last night. This worked out perfect since I needed a quick sympathy card for a guy. I used some K& Company dp, Basic Gray cs (SU!), and Verve Stamps (Joy for thr Journey, and Notes of Prayer).

I made this second card using one of my favorite DCWV stacks (La Creme), Verve Stamp (Celebration of Thanks)& Martha Stewart bp (Deco Fan). I have an order to make 10 Thank You cards, so the next few cards are gonna be just that.
Well I did make a card tonight, but I was too tired to take a picture so I will show it tomorrow.....Good night!!!!

One Person

I got a Shining Star from Stampin' Sisters in Christ for this Mother's Day card. I'm sending this one to my wonderful Mother-in-Law. I love black & white cards, but thought the pink would brighten things up .
I have more Mother's Day cards to show tomorrow, so until then have a good night.

Delightful & Delicious

Had a blast at Verve's Beach Party Release Party on Friday. Unfortunately I didn't win anything, but I enjoyed playing along. I forgot to post another challenge card I made for Verve's Ready, Set and Stamp challenge using Delightful & Delicious. A great stamp set that I haven't used as much as I thought, but taking a second look at it I see so many possibilities to mix it with other sets. For this card I went shabby chic with a coffee color. The sketch is from Mercy's sketch challenge#69. I made a few cards over the weekend , but need to take photos so I will be back in a few days. Have a wonderful Monday! LOVE & BLESSINGS

VERVE'S BEACH PARTY CHALLENGES

What a busy week this has been. The schools are doing STAR testing, so seniors had the craziest school hours possible since they don't take them.TGIF!...it's time for Verve's Beach Party Release Party tonight. I can't believe I got all 5 challenges done on time. This graduation card is for the 5th sketch challenge. I used Pink Paislee dp and some Zva crystal flourishes. I love how this turned out.
This card is for sketch challenge#4. Finally got a chance to use this stamp that I've had for a few months.

Sketch challenge #3 is a Mother's Day card for a friend who has always been there for me, she is a great inspiration as well.

I used sketch #2 for a wedding card and is also for the Bible Verse Thursday Challenge where the theme is love. Now I have a wedding card handy for the next person getting married.

Challenge #1 is a color challenge using aqua, orange and green. Those are great colors for a summer birthday, so that's what I went with.

Just a few more hours until the Release Party so I gotta get rested and get the credit card ready. I'll let you know how the party went and if I won anything!

I Won Some Blog Candy

I won my first Blog Candy from Martine at The Craft Table. It was this gorgeous Origins DP from Basic Grey. I got it just in time to make this Mother's Day card for the Mojo Monday Sketch #134. This is such a great sketch. Of course I pulled out my Verve stamps and Prima flowers. Can't go wrong with those two together. This is a short post with only one card because we have to get up early to go to a new student orientation at CSUEB for my daughter. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. High school graduation is in 2 months. Love & Blessings

Birthday Cards

Here are the cards I have been working on lately. On this one I used a Mojo sketch and some pp from We R Memory Makers, a Verve stamp, and a new border punch I bought at Michaels. I think it's called fleur de lis or something like that. A friend came over and saw it in my stack of new cards and said she wants it for her birthday. Can you guess who she is? Yes it's the purple lover Hernetta, so she gets it when I do the inside.

I made this card for my sister's birthday last week, but have not given it to her because she was sick the whole weekend and I didn't want to catch her cold. ( I guess I could have mailed it).

For this last card I pulled out some paper I haven't used in a long time. SEI makes some beautiful papers and I love that they coordinate so well. I'm finally using this butterfly stamp from SU. I'm sending this one to a friend whose B-day is on Tuesday, and boy will she be surprised to get this from me. She doesn't even know I make cards. Now I'm off to make one more birthday card for my neighbor whose birthday is actually today. I just found out about it, and she is out of town anyway!
